Social Commitment
Siemens Gamesa created in 2019 the Social Commitment department to strengthen the support to the communities where it operates.
Social Commitment has defined a long-term strategy towards the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to meet the 2030 Agenda.
We focus on combating poverty (SDG1), protecting the environment (SDG13, SDG14 and SDG15) and promoting technological education (SDG4), relying as much as possible on the company's volunteers.

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals (officialy known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs). These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030, by: ending poverty, hitting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
Impact Projects Initiative

SGRE Impact is a company-wide initiative to bring positive change to the communities in which Siemens Gamesa operates while heightening the engagement of employees.
Every year employees can propose a community engagement project related to our Social Commitment strategy. The projects are evaluated by a jury who chooses the final projects.

Volunteering Program
In line with our core value: creating a better and sustainable world for generations to come, the Corporate Volunteering Program looks to create beneficial impact within the communities where we operate and the environment. In addition, this program brings the employees the opportunity to participate in the different activities learning about sustainability and promoting pride of belonging, engagement and motivation.
More than 3,000 employees have volunteered to help manage the different volunteering events locally and motivate others to join the initiatives.
Through the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, we also meet the concerns of employees to engage with communities through volunteer activities.
