The fight against climate change is in the DNA of our business, not only because we reduce emissions with our turbines but also through our environmental impact, which helps reduce carbon footprint

1. We have created The Forests of Siemens Gamesa. We have planted 100.000 trees in 20 forests in 11 countries, including the Amazon.

2. Each mature tree sequesters an average of 22,5 kgs. of CO2 annually

3. Our coastal clean-up in different countries helps to fight against human impact.

4. River, beach, coastal pollution is a threat to biodiversity

5. Over 3 billion people depend on the ocean for sustenance

6. Digital Clean-up to decrease our digital footprint reducing 400 Tons of CO2

Climate change is a real and undeniable threat to our entire civilization.The effects are already visible and will be catastrophic unless we act now. Through education, innovation and adherence to our climate commitments, we can make the necessary changes to protect the planet. These changes also provide huge opportunities to modernize our infrastructure which will create new jobs and promote greater prosperity across the globe.

Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence.They cover 70 percent of our planet and we rely on them for food, energy and water. Yet, we have managed to do tremendous damage to these precious resources. We must protect them by eliminating pollution and overfishing and immediately start to responsibly manage and protect all marine life around the world.

A flourishing life on land is the foundation for our life on this planet.We are all part of the planet’s ecosystem and we have caused severe damage to it through deforestation, loss of natural habitats and land degradation. Promoting a sustainable use of our ecosystems and preserving biodiversity is not a cause. It is the key to our own survival.

Siemens Gamesa's Community Gardens

From the Social Commitment department and following our goals to combat poverty and protect the environment in line with the UNs 2030 agenda, we are creating the Community Gardens of Siemens Gamesa, through the installation of a pilot project in the Madrid office.

Reforestation and sustainable livelihoods response for refugees and host communities in Ethiopia

We'll be cooperating with UNHCR Spanish Committee to protect the refugee population in Ethiopia's refugee camps and the host population in the surrounding territories through environmental restoration and the development of a sustainable livelihood over time.

Central Florida Urban Gardens

Together with Ideas for US we'll be able to provide fresh, local food alongside skills development and educational opportunities to disadvantaged communities throughout Central Florida.

Volunteering activity with our China employees

Volunteering Program

In line with our core value: creating a better and sustainable world for generations to come, the Corporate Volunteering Program looks to create beneficial impact within the communities where we operate and the environment. In addition, this program brings the employees the opportunity to participate in the different activities learning about sustainability and promoting pride of belonging, engagement and motivation.

More than 3,000 employees have volunteered to help manage the different volunteering events locally and motivate others to join the initiatives.
